Mustang Shelby GT 500 Eleanore in Dubai

There is a car that is my biggest dream and it is

Ford Mustang GT 500 z roku 1967 :)

Divine muscle car! It was a series modified by Carroll Shelby. Beautiful machine with soul and power. It has 550 HP and it is a car from sixties! Top speed - 240 km/h. Acceleration from 0 to 100 in 6.7 seconds - maybe now it is not a stunt, but in my opinion good for those times :)
Fell in love with this car a long time ago and I still hope that one day I can afford to buy it. If I am 70 than I will be a grandmother in a super car!

Look what I have found today in Al Quoz... let me introdce you... Eleanore

Can you see this bottle in a trunk? yeah it is nitro :)

Exactly that looking machine was in the movie 'Gone in 60 seconds'. It was created, Eleanore, especially for this movie. Thirteen machines were built, twelve took part in the film (of which five were destroyed during the filming). 13th was built for producer Jerry Bruckenheimer. Not only he is shooting great movies he is given great cars.
Mr. Bruckenheimer please adopt me :D

Restaurants #2 /Hard Rock Cafe, Dubai Festival City/

Hard Rock Cafe Dubai

Fot. www.hardrock.com
Hard Rock Cafe Dubai is located in Duabi Festival City. It is a hotel and shopping center - like all of them in Dubai :) Here you can go to the cinema, buy some new furniture in Ikea, or go to the Hard Rock Cafe for good food and good rock tune :) They have rock shop as well, you can buy t-shirts, pins etc.

And as in every Hard Rock Cafe they have memorabilia. There are many of them, Elvis Presley jumpsuit , Tom Petty guitar and ...

...much more.

Another American legend - Harley Davidson Road King.

A few photos showing the interior. Every evening there is a live concert. Crew is friendly, even though we had a waiter today, who was trying to 'kill' our friend hihi. When he was collecting plates from the table, he threw a knife at him, but fortunately nothing happened.

And the food ...
Burgers, salads, onion rings and other American favorites.
Well done, fresh, the portions large, in my opinion, a bit too much, at least I'm not able to eat a whole. A lot of different types of beer with draft or bottled. Druft ones that was available (as I remember) Strongbow, Kilkenny, Tiger, American Budweiser and a whole bunch of different drinks.
In the photo below starters set Jumbo Combo - all types of starters and is super delicious.

I ordered today chicken - pineapple quesadilla with guacamole, sour cream and salsa. And soup o the day - mashroom cream, that was delicious!

Rest of the team ordered burgers :)

HICKORY BBQ BACON CHEESEBURGER
CALIFORNIA BURGER
I didn't take a bill and I do not remember the prices :( Dinner for two people with beer costs about 200 dirhams.
Another place that I can recommend!

Time lapse

A bit more about the humidity ...

Author of this time lapse is my husband (and this is his first one). It was made from our balcony - view of the golf course and Emirates Golf Course, part of Dubai Media City and Dubai Marina.
You can see how humidity can change throughout the day. The first night humidity reached almost 90% and the next one decreased to near 60%.

Restaurants #1 /Chicken Tikka Inn, JLT/

Chicken Tikka Inn - JLT

I decided to write about inns, pubs, restaurants and other eating places. I will describe  for you the places we visited, from the cheap bars to expensive restaurants.
Maybe those visiting Dubai find it useful :)

Today we have visited the Chicken Tikka Inn in JLT (Jumeirah Lake Towers), this is a chain restaurant. They are serving an Indian cuisine and a bit of Chinese (but mostly Indian). Here you can find their website http://chickentikkainn.com/. They advertise itself as the oldest and the best charcoal grill. It was founded in 1972. So, it is actually quite a long tradition as Dubai standarts.

Interior design are simple but the 'boxes' are comfortable, clean and tidy.

Let's get to the most important - Food.

I have to say it was tasty, and the portions quite big. The only issue - my Palak Paneer was quite salty, but I do not use salt at all, so for me a lot of food is too salty.

Our order:

Soup - Hot & Sour Chicken - in my opinion very tasty, Pavel also like it. Price 10 AED.

Butter Tandoori Naan - typical wheat bread from Asia, originally comes from Persia. Price 4 aed / piece.

Ginger Chicken - 24 aed

Palak Paneer - goat cheese with spinach and tomatoes. Price 16 aed.

Fresh green salad. Price 9 aed.

And at the end of Masala Chai - black tea with spices, served with milk. Price 5 aed.

And here is the bill :)

We can recommend this place! You can try and eat for a reasonable price. Like almost all restaurants in Dubai they have home delivery as well.

Humidity rises ...

I wrote recently about the humidity. Yesterday evening our weather station showed 79%, we live on the 18th floor so on the ground level it was much higher. And on Palm Jumeirah probably reached up to 100%. This photo showing moisture condensing on the window in our bedroom and this is really not rain!

And now a few shots from community area :) I tried recently to find out if maybe there was a change in how my skin get the sun and made a few shots. Unfortunately, when it comes to the possibility of get tan everything was as usual - I can't get tan :) My friend said that 'the sun's rays bounce' hehe, and it's probably true!

We are living in this building on the 18th :)
