Pets in Dubai - continued

About animals - next part :) This time, the cost of food etc.

As I wrote once before, having a pet in Dubai is not a simple and inexpensive matter.
The first thing is that you can not have pets in all districts. It's not about just walking them, but in some parts of Dubai, for example in Jumeirah Beach Residences having pets are prohibited at all.
Walking is also not a simple matter, especially in the summer time when the temperature reaches 50 degrees (C). So you need to wake up very early in the morning when the temperature is more bearable (still less than 40 degrees). Later in the day it can be only a little 'pee walk', forget about  proper walk, unless you want to expose your pet to shock. You can walk your pet in the evening (after dark) when the temperature drops a bit. In addition, you can not go anywhere with your pet for a walk. What is funny animals are banned in all the parks in Dubai.

The only ferret food in Dubai w
Beaphar Care + (really bad food)

15.81 euro

Silicon Litter 3,8 l

7.38 euro

I chose them randomly, some for cats, some for dogs. Thre is only one kind of ferret food in Dubai so I place it here as well. I do not know the prices in all countries, but there are much more expensive here than in Poland for example.

While the ferret food are so poorly represented, I feed my 'carpet snake' Dolores with Ziwi Peak for cats with lamb or venison. Price 98 dirhams (20.65 euro) for two 400 g pack.
Klusek, have kidney problems, so he have to be fed with a veterinary diet. Royal Canin RENAL, dry food (2 kg) costs 105 dirhams (22.11 euro), and meat sachets - pack of 12 pieces costs 65 dirhams (13.70 euro) / 5.40 aed per piece (1.14 euro).

Things like cat litter, litter box, bedding etc are more expensive here as well (compared to Poland). I brought litter box in Poland (ordinary cat litter box, plastic), I paid for it about 3 euro and here the cost is about 8,50 euro or more. Crazy!

There is one more problem - pet stores! There are many things that we can easily buy in Europe but not here. So one have to bring it with or order it and it means more costs.
